Postgraduate studies are organised in the following hierarchy:
- The Senate
- The Board of the School of Postgraduate Studies
- The Faculty Postgraduate Studies Committee
- The Departmental Postgraduate Studies Committee
Membership of the Board
- The Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies (Chairman)
- The Deputy Deans, School of Postgraduate Studies
- Two Professors elected by the Senate as its representatives
- One member representing each of the faculties
- One member representing each institute/centre running approved PG programme(s)
- The University Librarian
- The Director of Academic Planning
- The Director of Research, Innovation and Partnership
- The Director of Examinations, Admissions and Records
- The Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies (Secretary)
Faculty & Departmental Committees
Each faculty has a Faculty Postgraduate Studies Committee chaired by the Dean. Each department running (or planning) postgraduate programmes has a Departmental Postgraduate Studies Committee chaired by the Head of Department, responsible for admissions recommendations, fields of study, supervisors, examiners, seminars and quality of teaching/research.
